Booking Policies & Procedures
All services are provided by ECS Creative LLC, an Illinois limited liability company operating as Evan the Colorist.
Consultation & Pricing
The consultation is the most important part of the service. You get to express all your ideas and wishes for your hair, and the stylist can set expectations so we are both on the same page before the coloring has even begun. Please feel free to email and set up a complementary 15-minute virtual consultation through FaceTime or Zoom, especially for double processes, color corrections, or big changes. Pricing depends on the techniques and time required, and a more accurate estimate will be provided at the consultation once all services are agreed upon.
Deposits Policy
A 50% deposit is required for corrective color appointments or services scheduled for more than 3 hours. This deposit must be paid by credit card at the time of booking.
For hourly appointments, the deposit will be calculated as 50% of the estimated midpoint cost provided in your service quote. The deposit will be applied to your total service cost, with the remaining balance due on the day of the appointment.
Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation or missed appointments, but may be applied to one rescheduled session if rebooked within 1 month.
Cancellation / Tardiness
We kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This courtesy helps keep appointments available for everyone. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a $50 fee, which will be included in the cost of your next scheduled service. Missed appointments (‘no shows’) may incur a fee equal to half of the scheduled service, which will be included in the cost of your next scheduled service. True emergencies are always considered with understanding.
Cancellations and ‘no shows’ leave gaps in the schedule that cannot be filled without timely notice. This notification courtesy enables us to schedule another client and, in turn, maintains a higher availability of services for you as well as others. Due to scheduling commitments to other clients, we may need to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 15 minutes late. Late arrivals that cannot be accommodated will be considered a late cancellation and may incur the $50 fee.
Gratuities
Evan the Colorist does not automatically include gratuities in the price for color services. Gratuities are welcomed and encouraged as a token of appreciation for an excellent job. You are welcome to tip with credit card, cash, or via Business Venmo @evan-the-colorist.
Adjustment Policy
Evan the Colorist takes pride in all hair color services provided and wants every client to leave happy. However, it is understandable that occasionally you may want something changed. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your service, please do not hesitate to let us know. A complimentary adjustment can be scheduled within a week from the original appointment. Adjustments must be for the same service originally provided; changes in desired color, tone, or look may be considered a new service. We want all clients to leave loving their hair. Please note that Evan the Colorist does not issue refunds for any hair color services.
